All these people...

"Red: The Next Generation of American Writers--Teenage Girls--On What Fires up Their Lives."
Edited by Amy Goldwasser

Just a quick note. This is the title of a book that Erika, a girl I know, got an article published in. So, to support her, go buy the book and read her article.

By the way, I don't know if I mentioned it earlier, but a magazine published an article I wrote about mustangs. Not a big magazine, but still... It's called "Species Link." My article is called "Wandering Among Wild Horses."

Oh, my uncle Rob was in Vanity Fair a while ago! He's pretty well known in his field. He knows a lot of important people in politics. I'm not crazy about politics myself, but still. It's cool to say I have an uncle like that.

And my dad made a documentary about eagles. He's not much of a computer person, so it's taken him many years to put it up for sale on amazon:

http://www.amazon.com/Silver-an-American-Eagle/dp/B001E0J5PG/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1220142487&sr=8-2

It's old footage, but buy it anyway to support dad. He even composed most of the music.

And he put up 2 clips from the movie. The first clip is the intro:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ciNtbGOLvI

Yes, I am the little girl at the very beginning, along with my ex-neighbor Chloe. Ex because she moved to New York.

And the second clip is what he calls "eagle whispering." He's making friends with a wild golden eagle.

I tried to stick them on my blog so there they are. I'll have them up for a little while until I feel like taking them down.
And look! I even figured out how to make the first one a direct link to the pages! I'm so smart. But the second 2 wouldn't work and I'm too tired right now to try and fix it.

Oh yeah. I met a woman who wrote a book too. At a motel in Reno. At the hot tub. Ooh, hot tubs are nice. I might as well include her too.

The Light of the Sun Shines at Last!

Isn't my title for this post dramatic? Now, let me tell you what it means.
I finished my story! The one with the werewolf/vampire/ghost/normal kid. As you may have heard, I'm thinking about titling it "The Light of the Sun." I still have to edit it, of course. I know it needs quite a bit of work, but at least it's finished. And, like most of my stories, I finished it late at night. 12: 15 to be exact. Once I'm close to the end, I can't stop. I'll put up my crazy little "tidbits" eventually. It's pretty long, so I'll have to do them in stages. This is my longest official story so far (The Fern one is longer, but it's a sort of fanfic). It's 59 pages. A couple lines away from 60. It's such a nice feeling to finish a story! And now I only have about 7 stories I'm in the middle of instead of 8!

What's the deal?

Okay, so I've been wondering this. I don't know who I expect to reply, but if anyone knows, tell me what this is all about. So, a lot of the (few) comments I've been getting have been from economically-related names. I'll list a few.

free lotto
lotto winners
bad credit loans
stock investment
lottery gambling
top stock pick

And more that I'm too lazy to list.
Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but these don't sound like real people. I think they're some robots or something. Now, if you are in fact real people, tell me and I'll apologize. But the stuff they say almost seems robotic too.

Lockheed and Brightwind

So, I told you about Lockheed, the dragon, and Brightwind, the winged horse, that I was using in my Fern story. I finally got up some pictures of them.
Yes, there's been a lot of pictures recently. We'll run out eventually. Don't worry.

Here's Lockheed. I want one! He breathes fire too!

And Brightwind. I want one of these too!

Aww!

Aw, Steph, we'll miss you too!
I like your commentary. It's cute.
I can't believe it! Everyone's leaving to college! Everyone's going away! I only know one person going to my college! I'll miss everyone! I'll visit you who haven't graduated and the rest of you better keep in touch!

Future Image Dumps

The remaining two Image Dumps are on my blog so I don't crowd up Tara's. :D

Oh, and I'll be adding an article or two about the ideas I developed over the summer by some undetermined date. School's tomorrow. D; This year's gonna be boring without you guys.

Image Dump San[Three]

Image Dump Ni[Two]

O_O; Yeah, those comments scared me.

NO STEALING, OKAY? D8< (for those art stealers out there)

And there are still a lot of pictures to put up. D:

Grumpy griffin. He looks so silly.

That lizard has a wing-pack! xD It's practically a dragon now. And look at that wig-hat-thing, it's got arms! And some random jackal doodle on top there....

Masked thing. I like it's tail. o_o So fluffy.

I dunno what happened. Everything just 'sploded. All my art work in one I guess.

A betta! Isn't he cute? Mom loved it too.

One of a few summer ideas, hover boards! Except they're huge and make deliveries all around the globe (of some unnamed planet).

Part one of the fox-beast. :D On all fours....

...And standing up. She's gonna go beat some bad guys.

Random dragon head with interesting horns. Not my usual dragon style.

Wings

Ha! Steph finally posted! Thanks! Did you see the comments on your post? I like the little dragon guy. He's funny looking. And the big fury snake is cool too!
Random picture I drew when I was up in Tahoe. We went to a river and there was a branch hanging out over the water. I sat on it and it was a great view. So, that's the background you see.

# of days left of summer break: 1
# of expected image dumps: 2 (one more)

Are you ready for it? I have been more a hermit than Ellen, but to prove I've actually been breathing all that time, here's what I owned you!

Warning: Image heavy. I hope I don't kill your computers. :D

<- Coonfox, it's a chimer (aka chimera-of-sorts). He looks scary and about ready to eat someone.

Wingless, nameless dragon.

Feathery fish human? It has no name, but it's still cool. :D

A jinx, or a hoax or some weird critter. It's on fyaa (fire)!

Blank Gryphon, meaning I could add color, poka-dots, and a proper tail if I want. A good basic outline though, neh?

Fanfics

Okay. So, as I have mentioned, I've been working on a few of my fanfiction stories on and off. The Fern one, mainly. Usually is sits on my computer doing nothing. But occasionally I get a good idea for a chapter so I write on it until I'm out of ideas. Then it sits there forever until I get another good idea.
Okay. That's it. Just wanted to explain.

The Light of the Sun

So, I think I may have found a title for the werewolf story. "The Light of the Sun." Before you say it's a random title, let me explain.
First of all, the magic amulet that everyone's searching for contains the power of the sun (sort of).
So, I was going to write some of that story and I came up with two possible titles: "The Warmth of the Sun" and "The Light of the Sun." It was good that I wrote them down because I forgot about them very quickly. A little while later, someone was telling me a story about a girl and a lioness. The lion had a name in a different language (an african one) that meant "The light of the sun." Okay. A good name for a golden lion.
Then I went back to my werewolf story last night and saw the possible title I had written for it: "The Light of the Sun." And I thought "Holy Crud! That was the name of that lion! That's another of those weird coincidences. Maybe that should be the title for my story."
So, there you go. I may still change it if it doesn't grow on me too much.

Enough! Volunteer!

Okay, enough of all this dragon stuff. Sorry for all of you I've bored. I'll stop now (Unless I find something really cool).
So, time for me to ramble some more.
Go and volunteer. Once a week for 4 hours I go to the local humane society and work in the wildlife department. Mainly with the baby birds. I feed birds, wash dishes, do laundry, clean cages, and lots of other stuff. I love the baby birds, as long as they're good and open their mouths so I can feed them (No, I love them all). So, I say that you go out and do some good for your society. And once I get better with animals I bet I won't have to wash as many dishes! Just kidding. But it really helps. Go do something. Go work with animals. They need it right now. Trust me. Or if you can't stand animals (How could you not love them?) do something else. Just do something.
Kay. I'm done nagging. But think of it this way. The more volunteers there are, the less work you have to do!

Daergon Pendant

Here's the pendant from Shifter. It's silver and malachite.

More Samples

A couple more samples.
If this were full size, it would be a phoenix dragon. If it's bigger, it would be a sun dragon.

Some more sun dragons.

Some Moon dragons (previously known as imperial dragons). The red and gray ones could also be ruffled dragons if they were standing in their hind legs.

A two-headed lash dragon.

Dawn, earth and sun dragons.

Samples

So, I"m bored and I'm putting off doing my chores. Here's a few dragon samples.
For example, the dragon from Harry Potter 4 would fit the shape design of my storm dragon.
And though this picture is a little silly, the dragon is at least standing on its hind legs. That makes it fit with the frilled dragons.

This one fits a wood dragon.

This could be a frost dragon. So could Haku from Spirited Away.

Note about Dragon Species

Some of you may be thinking that I stole some of my dragon species from one specific dragon from a movie/book/game, ex. I did give some examples, but there are multiple dragons from completely different sources that fit into my different groups. It's kinda scary. Now every time I see a dragon, my mind categorizes it into one of my dragon groups. Sun dragons and moon dragons have the most so far, but I get a lot of earth dragons, serpent dragons, everything. Maybe some day I'll post pictures of other dragons that fit my designs. So I don't steal dragons from one source. I steal them from multiple sources! Wahahahahahah!!!
By the way Ellen, I think Kailo is very cute, as are the baby dragons!

Under a rock

So I've been living under a rock for a while now. You know, ignoring the internet, losing my phone, being a hermit kind of thing. Anyway while I was hiding I was drawing...a lot. And I've done a few drawings of Tara and my characters for our dragon story, cause I couldnt think of other things to draw! Woo! So anyway here they are.
I hope they fit! That last Arith and Shalia pic is more for showcasing Shalia as a full grown dragon. I'm also working on Ginger's sword fighting style. It's going to be awesome!

Shifter Tidbits

So, time to explain some of my inspirations for Shifter. Some LAZY people are supposed to be reading it (Ellen) but they haven't yet.
Any way, here we go. This will make a whole lot more sense if you've read this story, but as if this moment, only a few people on the planet have. Me and my parents.
It starts with Halloween. I actually did have a costume like Katy's. And I stole Ellen's cat costume, which she also wore last year. And that pendant I described belonged to my grandma. I should put up a picture of it. Maybe I will.
Either way, I don't know about you, but all those bright lights mixed with night darkness really make me feel like I'm in the middle of a dream. And we went into this one haunted house with these horrible blinding strobe lights. There was a guy in a scary costume hiding, but I saw him before he got a chance to leap out at us (I've seen enough America's Funniest Home Videos to be fooled by something like that).
This description of the rabbit Ian perfectly fits my rabbit Alaska. She comes when you call, she gives kisses, and she goes absolutely berserk for banana.
Ah. Here's the part of the story that came before everything else. This little bit I'm about to describe was the spark for this story. I thought "what if your pet wasn't really what you thought it was?" And I came up with the quote, "Don't worry. You're not hallucinating. I'm a shape-shifter." And the whole story unfolded around that. It took me a while to find a plot though. It doesn't really work if your story doesn't have a plot. But I've gotten good at improvising. I did it a lot during this story. I had no idea what they would do between meeting Reein and meeting the ozorehs.
Wouldn't you like a solar-powered hover bike?
By the way, has anyone ever changed their name on you? Reein changes from Ian to Reein. That's not too bad. But when I learn a name and someone changes it, I still call them by their old name. It takes me long enough to learn one name, and then I have to learn it again. Sigh. Like I learned Jenny's name, then she changed it back to her chinese name Ye. And I learned one boy by his nickname, and then he started calling himself by his real name once his nickname was stuck in my head.
Ah. The part in the ice cream shop. I asked Ellen what it was like to get brain freeze. She didn't know, but she happened to be eating ice cream at the time. So she kindly offered to get brain freeze and tell me what it was like. So she swallowed a huge bite of ice cream and got an instant headache. Thanks for your support, Ellen.

More Pictures

Because I can! I'll add my Shifter "tidbits" in a little while. But my computer's doing something now, so I'm playing around on my blog to kill time.

This guy's cute. It's the Dash, from that series Cardcaptors. One of the few animes I know. I also know Miyazaki movies, and the Pokemon shows I watched many moons ago.

Lockheed! I love this guy. He's so cute. He's only about the size of a cat. He's in a few of the X-Men comics. I started reading them, but they got too weird so I stopped. But any way, this is Kitty's pet dragon Lockheed. I've included him in the Fern thing I started writing, along with Brightwind, the winged horse someone has (I forget the girl's name). This is the best picture I could find of Lockheed on the internet. There's some better ones in the comics. Maybe I'll put one up eventually If I remember to.

Frilled Dragon

So, here's my final dragon. The frilled dragons have a lot of frills (big surprise). They also stand upright like a human... or kangaroo. They breathe fire.

Well, technically there's another dragon. The wyverns. But they're not really dragons. And I've already posted a picture of them. They don't breathe fire, they have 2 legs, 2 wings, and a barbed tail. That's all you need to know. Except that they're pretty big but not as big as the titan dragon. Here's a cool wyvern picture. I didn't draw it. I got it from the internet.
