The Animal Seven

Ah, at least a bit of explanation about the guys I put up. I think they're gonna be mostly siblings. I'm still trying to work out a lot of glitches about their story... but I'm pretty sure (maybe) that they'll end up in the story with the family that plays music. I don't know if I've mentioned them yet or not, actually.
Cat
Bird
Bat
Rabbit
Dog
Squirrel
Otter
If I end up going with the vague random normal plot I have in mind, Lavender will be the main character.
They all have different colored arm bands (but Ginko wears his on his finger cause it can't fit on his arm.)
And Piñon-needs some explanation. He's the youngest. They made the first six of mammals. And then they tried to make Piñon out of a bird, but they weren't ready to try blending a human with a non-mammal, so he didn't turn out too well. He ended up with one wing and one arm. So he can't fly, and he only has one arm. Poor guy. Ah, and here's the fun in his name. Piñon is a type of tree (cause all of them are named after plants). But pinion is also part of a bird's wing, and "pinioning" means to take off some of a birds feathers so it can't fly. And since Piñon cant fly... I though it was a good dual-meaning.
And Cyprus, well, let's see. Neither he nor Birch turned out too well. But I volunteer at the wildlife department at the humane society. And it is currently squirrel season. This year, I saw two squirrels (or maybe the same one twice, but unlikely) unlike any squirrels I've ever seen before. I mean, there are black squirrels, and then there were these two. They were completely pitch black-no other colors. They had really long silky tails, and tufted silky ears. They were the most beautiful squirrels I've ever seen. So, I tried to make Cyprus like that. He's supposed to be really handsome, but my drawing sucks. Sorry Cyprus!
Heheh. I was gonna have four boys and three girls, but I lost track as I was drawing them (I drew one each during my humanities class for a seven classes running just to bug Nick and Tracey). So, I accidentally made five boys. So at the last minute just as I'd finished drawing Willow, I realized that I was supposed to have another girl . So I changed Willow to a girl.

My cool guys!

Ah, I'll write about them later. For now, see if you can guess which animal each of them is. The first six are easy. Willow is harder. Look at her fingers.

Pinyon

Angel

Heheh. Pretty much every post I've made recently has had pictures in it. Well, here's another. I'll post with only writing soon enough. But pictures are so fun!
Anyway, here's one. No one sees her because they're all so busy with stupid useless stuff! (Actually, it was better before I colored it.)

I Will Protect You

This is from Of Spirits and Demons. Feather Dance watches over Briena through the whole story, whether you know she's there or not.

Computer Flop

Ah, I drew some pictures a while ago of my characters, but I haven't put them up yet.

Heheh. Luckily I have yet to face writers' block (knock wood) but I thought this would be fun to draw. Me flopped over the keyboard with Briena next to me. Since Briena comes from Magic-Earth with no technology, she' going "what are you doing?"
Yes, I know the desk is really tall. My bad.
Heheh. Writing the pixel words was fun but rather time-consuming.

Ellen's crazy

Heheh, I've been meaning to post about this, but I've been procrastinating.
So, a long time ago, I was teasing Ellen because she had me read + Anima. And she is so much like Cooro! Especially this page:

And then when she was over a few weeks ago, Mom was making pie. And she started doing a little "pie dance" and singing "Pie pie pie." And I told her that that was exactly like Cooro, and she froze and hung her head. And that made me laugh even harder because it was EXACTLY like this page about the authors behind + Anima (one she hadn't seen yet).

Ponyo Song

Warning: This song contains intense cuteness and may cause the melody to play through your head for the following few weeks.

Ponyo notebook

Ah, too cute. I saw this notebook at a japanese store, and I just had to get it...

Actually, I'm mad at the people who did the english version of Ponyo. Overall it was good, but they turned the ending song into a rap song! I was so furious when I heard that! Why the hell would they play that kind of garbage in a kids movie? It's brain washing! Playing that horrible music for kids! And the original Japanese ending song was so cute too... I oughta post a copy of the original song. Not the horrid rock song. I think it's because the english voices of Ponyo and Sosuke were younger siblings to rock singers so they felt like they had to play stupid rock songs in the movie...
And they made an original english version of Totoro several years ago. I pretty much grew up with that and Kiki. And now they made a new english version (dub)! I was really mad to hear that too! What was wrong with the original version? I think it's because it wasn't done by Disney so Disney felt they needed to make their own version. I refuse to watch the new English dub. MAn, I think Disney's taking over the world. I was shocked when I heard they bought Marvel. What are they gonna do with Spiderman and the X-Men? Are little kids gonna go up and hug Wolverine at Disney Land?
Plus Disney hasn't made a good movie in quite a while... except for the Pixar stuff. Which is Pixar... And Ponyo, but they screwed up the end song. Heheh. Ponyo's dad is cool. I'm glad they got Liam Neeson to do it. He's a good actor.
Yeah, Disney's coming out with that frog princess or whatever movie. Judging from the previews, it looks like it could either be really good... or really bad... yeah.

Fey?

Ah, this picture has been sitting on my computer for over a year, I think. I keep not putting it up.
This is the girl that's gonna be in a story I'm planning. The future one about the corrupt planet. This is a girl created by scientists. Yah, I got soft spots for creatures created by scientists (and shape shifters and people with wings). And she's really sweet, though she doesn't know how to speak at first. And Via and Dae try to help her and stuff. So, here she is.

Briena and Koto

Phew! This one took me forever. I actually finished it a little while ago and I've stalled putting it up. Briena and the little dinosaur that she will meet in her 4th book. I've pretty much finished Of Spirits and Demons, by the way. I just gotta edit a couple more chapters. Almost done! And then she's in Shadow Split, and then there's one after that where she meets Ranen, and then is the one with the dinosaurs cause dinosaurs are so AWESOME!!!

Arith's Batte Scar

Here's a picture I drew of Arith with the battle scar he gained during the battle against Koba. Nicole was making fun of me for drawing him without his shirt on. Huff. Stupid Nicole. Big meanie.
Well, here it is.

Amphithere

Heheh. I'm so happy that people are actually posting! Thanks, Ellen.
So, I've been working hard on editing "Of Spirits and Demons." And Ellen and I have been working on "Moon Dragon."
So, now I'll put up some information of a dragon-like creature that I've seen around. It's called and Amphithere. Heres the info I've found on it. And once again, I've forgotten where it came from. Sigh. Either way, it was one of the first few results when I searched for "Amphithere" on the internet.

The amphithere is a dragon similar to the wyvern. This dragon only has wings, and no other limbs. The wyvern, however, has legs whilst the amphithere has none. Most people don’t consider the amphithere to be a dragon of its own. Instead, they are called "winged wurms" and "wyverns". The amphithere usually has feathery wings, but a few have been recalled to have bat-like wings. This dragon lives mostly in Mexico, where it lives in ancient ruins and hidden temples. This amphithere eats llamas. But you can also find its moth-like winged relatives that dwell in northern America and live on buffalo. These amphitheres are often mistaken for giant moths. Both kinds dwell among lakeside reeds and offshore islands. When they are adults, they are about 45 feet long and 5 to 10 feet tall.
Some unique features of the ampithere are the sparkling gold feathers, its feathery tail, its hypersensitive eyesight, the feathery frill around its neck, its serpentine body and its very large wings. The ampithere uses its long snake-like tail to "strangle’ and then pick up and carry off their unfortunate prey. The amphithere is usually green with some blue. The amphithere uses its fiery breath to toast enemies. Its other attacks include the tail lash and constriction.
The Aztecs worshipped the ampithere, as did the Mexicans. But Europeans considered this dragon to be evil, and that it created chaos. The amphithere was believed to have also made fear in the person who saw it. These dragons are very rare, even though they were worshipped. These dragons actually prefer not to fight whenever possible. They are poor fighters, as they have only fire and tails to fight with. They prefer to dwell in areas in which they are protected and are safe from most dangers.
The ampithere is believed to have hypnotic powers, so you must be careful that you do not look into its eyes. In the Greek myth of Hercules, it is the ampithere’s teeth that make men spring from the ground instantly. The ampithere is believed to have at least 2 tongues. One is forked and the other is similar to ours.

And here's pictures.

Busy

See I do stuff! And I occasionally post it on the blog :D
Anyway I've been really really reaaaally bored. Do you remember that comic I started writing forever ago? Well I finally got the first page edited, cleaned up, and colored! Never again -____- ok so I lied. I'm probably going to do all of the pages in color at some point or another...maybe. Anyway I know Nicole wanted me to work on this so here you go.

Amulet of Ra

HOOOOLY Shat, Ellen!
Someone's been busy!
And then there's the business of you actually posting on the blog without me asking you to!
Whoo! Someone posted! Hahah.
Oh my god! Nex is in a suit!
OK, so this picture's been sitting on my computer forever. It's a sketch of a simplistic idea of the Amulet of Ra (from the Light of the Sun). I guess I'll put it up, huh?

Fancy Picture XO

Like Tara said a few posts ago, I drew Saleera in the dress she had to wear for the celebratory party for the return of the heir to the throne (Princess Jade) After than I drew Arith all dressed up, then I decided I should do Jade. But then after I finished Jade, I realized I should draw Agate. Then I thought Nexsidus would feel left out...if he was alive at that time in the story. Actually he probably wouldnt care ^__^

So in the end I did five of the characters. And it took forever! I scanned it and cleaned it up on photoshop, and redrew the lines. My sister's tablet isnt very good >__<

And the computer's failing, so here's the whole picture and here's the individual characters

More Calvin and Hobbes

OK, so I've had these on my computer for a while, and I'm finally putting them up. Some more Calvin and Hobbes comics that I picked out from the last book I read.
