Second Post: Something totally different (Kind of)

I was reading a sort of 'how to write things' blog of sorts and it basically said: "Your characters should be the same whether they are females or males" or something along those lines. So I started to wonder: how would my characters be different had they been the opposite gender and viola, this blog post is born~

Amaranth: Amaranth's life would've been pretty similar to how it is now except gender would be added to the list of why (s)he's incapable of being king (might suffer from even more social isolation than he does as a guy but then again, he's pretty socially isolated anyway). (S)He probably would still try for the throne and would probably go as far as to crossdress as a man. Ultimately, (s)he would fail to become king and go on a journey to find the magic rock and yada yada ya. Veery similar to the original though some self-hate and loneliness might be ramped up a bit... as well as aggression. Aggression would definitely ramped up actually from a need to prove herself as an equal to males.

Saecaria: Hmmm, if he switched genders..well, much of the story would be very similar for her if she does manage to survive to the end of the war (her probability of survival would be a lot lower than the male Saecaria because of....circumstances regarding her ability as a female...yeah). (S)he'd probably a lot less psycho than her male counterpart but still pretty detached and lost in the world.

And I quit for now. They're not as different as expected though still different. More different in my head than what's written in here. I guess I might do the rest of the characters later....maybe...neh.
