Sometimes I wonder if you have to watch those movies when you're a kid to really fall in love with them. I don't know, maybe you're young enough that you don't pay much attention to the strange parts?
Although I may just think that because I've tried showing them to people a couple times, and they never seemed to catch on.
For example, the animated movie of Watership Down.
Or Yellow Submarine.
Or The Last Unicorn (except my dad loves that movie, and he wasn't a kid when he first saw it. Even Mom likes it).
