Seasons

Just a reminder to all you writers, remember the time of year your stories are set in.
I was over half way through Arrin's story when I realized that it couldn't take place in the late autumn, because there was a really big nasty storm a few weeks beforehand, which should be in the winter or spring.
So, time to change the tiiiime.

Speaking of seasons, our penguins should be laying eggs soon!
This is one of the chicks from last year.

Hopefully we'll get back to see them soon, whenever things open again.

Old Disney Movies

When I got a month of Disney Plus, I watched a bunch of old Disney movies that I'd never been able to find from the libraries. They were all live-action ones.
And they all felt mostly the same to me.
The old Disney live actions I love are the ones I grew up with. Like That Darn Cat

I guess I got to love them before I saw all the others and realized how similar they all are

Also, I think my taste is far pickier now, and the ones I like are nostalgic, or something. XD

Ajonse and Asani

Haha! I finally finished! I stalled for so long drawing it, but I finally finished! It was a hard pose to figure out. And every time I color dark skin, I always seem to smudge the faces horribly TT^TT But I didn't this time! Which I'm relieved about, because Jon is one of my favorite characters. I wanted to do him justice.
(When I drew living Hector and Imelda, I didn't screw them up, but I also accidentally made them too pale, so I don't think that counts)

So, here are two of the characters from Evva's story. Serise Asani is Evva's mage teacher. She's not a tall person.
Ajonse Asani, or Jon, is her husband. He's very tall, and powerfully built because he's a woodworker. He makes beautiful carvings. I'm not sure it came out very clearly in the picture, but she's supposed to look tiny next to him.
I tried several different hairstyles for Jon, and they all looked really bad. So he ended up looking like Sweet, from Atlantis XD

Milestone

It was a slightly surreal birthday. Though not a bad one.
The last week has been like a dream. I hasn't really felt real.
And I'm not saying this to complain-since I know how bad off so many people are through all this. But it's weird not being able to see my family on my birthday, aside from my parents. I also can't get most of the presents I wanted since everything's closed XD
But I went on a walk with a friend, and we saw lots of cool birds. And I got dinner with my parents, and we watched Howl's Moving Castle.
(My ipod knew it was my birthday. It started playing the Coco soundtrack for me~ )

Hopefully things will calm down soon and I can see the rest of my family. And Dad said he'd buy me a horseback ride as a late gift. I've been crazy for a horseback ride for a while now. I'm deprived of horses! (Playing Breath of the Wild only makes it worse)

Here's a Rito from Breath of the Wild! Kass's cousin.

(Actually a hybrid macaw)

Accio Horse!

I wanted to share a random videogame story.
I started replaying Breath of the Wild. I have a beautiful black horse with a white mane and tail. I rode him far north to the labyrinth in the snow, and parked him out front. I dove into the labyrinth and started wandering around. In the heart of the maze, I ran into a group of black lizalfos and started fighting them. I accidentally pushed the button to whistle my horse. Over the next minute, I heard my horse neighing as he tried to get to me, apparently from outside the walls. I struck down what I thought was the last lizalfos. Then something black comes running around the corner, and I prepare for another black lizalfos to attack. But it's not.
It's my horse.
He worked his way through the labyrinth to find me.
That's a damn good horse right there.
What could I do? I rode him through most of the rest of the labyrinth. He worked so hard to find me, it seemed rude to leave him behind.

(A day later, I watched Harry Potter 4, so of course when I saw Harry summon his Firebolt, the first thing I thought of was summoning my horse)

(Not a horse, or a lizalfos, but something black)
A spix's guan. Apparently she's the only one of her kind in the US. She's a brat XD

When a Fanfiction Influences the Original

I found an interesting Youtube video that talk about Fanfiction.

I always thought it would be fascinating for a writer to read a fanfic based on their work.
But this brought up a great point. If a writer reads a fanfic of their stories, it may influence them. Which in this day and age can lead to people suing each other for their ideas. What a wild thought. A fanfic writer suing the author that wrote the original. I don't know if it's ever happened. But I wouldn't be surprised.

If I ever read a fanfic based off my stories, that would likely happen to me. I might get influenced by some of their ideas. I'm pretty susceptible to that.
I'd love to read them. But I probably shouldn't.
(Actually, someone wrote a fanfic of my Pokémon fanfiction! But Pokemon wasn't originally my idea anyway. And it's not like I make money from my fanfics, so that's a different story XD )

Remember to Love

Hey, everyone.
I've been trying not to write much about the Corona virus since it's being discussed everywhere.
So wash your hands a lot, and cough into your elbow

But most importantly, don't forget to be a good person.
Don't be awful to people because of where they're from. Don't feed racism. When things get hard, we need more than ever to help people, no matter where they're from or what they look like. Because of this, a lot of people are suffering from losing their jobs, temporarily or permanently. They still have families to care for. And since schools are closed, a lot of adults don't have any way to watch over their kids when they're at work.

I'm baffled that there's run on toilet paper? And other paper products. I guess some people buy it all out and then sell it for a jacked up price. Come on, guys. Don't be that way.

If you can safely help people, do it. Don't forget to be kind.
We can't only be out for ourselves, or society will fall apart.
It's like the freaking book I wrote for my graduate project.
It's just as important to help the planet as well as people. Apparently in some places people are throwing their used face masks into rivers. DON'T. We still need to live here. We need to take care of our home (you don't actually need a face mask unless you're sick. They do not stop you from getting sick. They only keep you from making other people sick if you're already contagious).

I hope you're able to find ways to stay happy and healthy.
My job is closed. And I just bought a new car. I was prepared for that to happen, but I'm still nervous about paying it off.
In the meantime, I've been doing lots of art. And lots of cleaning. I always have millions of ideas, so this at least is a way for me to burn through a lot of pent-up creativity.

Dragon Size Chart

I finally finished an improved size chart for my dragon species!

Here are the dragon species in order. The first half are all fire-breathers.
Sun dragon - Moon dragon
Dawn dragon - Frilled dragon
Phoenix dragon - Lash dragon
Titan dragon - Storm dragon
Loong - Earth dragon
Lion dragon - Frost dragon
Serpent dragon - Wood dragon

Just to be clear, there are two dragons in the middle that don't have a human for comparison. This is because they are massive. Their comparison figure is the Sun dragon - the first dragon on the list.
This is about as large as a dragon will grow in a human lifetime. With the exception of Phoenix dragons, dragons continue to grow as they age. But most of their growth happens within the first ten years. After a few decades, their growth slows dramatically.

Just bought a new car today.
It's so expensive TT^TT
And my work may close for a couple weeks because of this crazy virus thing.
So, that will suck when it comes to paying off my new car.

But it's so pretty!
It plugs in, and it also runs on gas. So I can still drive even if there are no plug-in stations around.

Pre-Finale

Yet another point in Arrin's story where I don't know what's going to happen next.
I'll probably skim over that part. It's mostly just boring travel anyway. I can fill it in later if I think of more content or character development that I need. I often end up fleshing my story out a lot on following drafts (and then finally cutting out all the excess).
This story feels so short, and the finale is coming up already. But then again, in Evva's story the part I originally considered to be the finale ended up being over half of the book.
